1. Increase Glutathione Levels
Glutathione is the "Master Antioxidant" for your body, but it goes far beyond just eliminating free radicals (which many fruits like acai and blueberries do too). Glutathione is required for alcohol metabolism. In fact, it is very much like an alcohol antidote (booze is a poison after all, though it can be a fun one). It's especially helpful for the critical 2nd step of the alcohol metabolism where the deadly "Hangover Toxin" Acetaldehyde is turned into harmless Acetate and eliminated from the body. Glutathione acts like a Bouncer for your critical organs, including your liver. What does a good bouncer do at a party? He or she neutralizes the bad guys and escorts them to the exit. What if there were a natural way to increase your Glutathione levels by as much as 30%? Patented Setria Glutathione has been clinically proven to do just that. Take 250 to 1,000 milligrams before, during and after drinking. And I'll share with you exactly how to get it in just a moment.
2. Increase Liver Enzyme Function
Other than Glutathione, the only things keeping the toxins in your body (while drinking alcohol) from building up and causing damage, are your precious liver enzymes. When they work well, you quickly eliminate alcohol (and it's byproduct "Hangover Toxin" Acetaldehyde) and avoid the misery of the next morning. When they don't work well, you can experience the side effects of toxic buildup, including red skin flushing, headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting and even death in extreme cases. In fact, the side effects of Acetaldehyde buildup are so rapid and extreme that one small dose of Antabuse (a drug that discourages alcoholics from drinking) can cause extreme sickness and vomiting after only a beer or two. How does the drug work? It blocks your liver enzymes from breaking down Acetaldehyde. If only Mother Nature had created a natural and safe herb that does the opposite, enhancing liver enzyme function. Luckily, that plant exists. It's called Japanese Raisin Extract (or Hovenia dulcis), and it contains a chemical called DHM (dihydromyricetin) that has effects you won't believe until you try it for yourself. It's been known as a liver tonic and "hangover cure" in Asia for centuries. Clinical studies have safely used as much as 9 grams of Japanese Raisin to achieve incredible results. We'll tell you where to get that too.
3. Decrease Glutamine Rebound (Poor Sleep)
Ever notice how you "pass out" after a night of drinking and sleep forever, but you wake up still feeling exhausted? The cause is Glutamine Rebound. Glutamine is not to be confused with our "Master Antioxidant" Glutathione. Glutamine is not a bad thing, however it stimulates the brain, meaning it keeps it awake and prevents getting deep sleep. First thing in the morning, having tons of Glutamine around would feel great. Not so much when you are trying to get some sleep and recover from the previous nights adventures. Alcohol causes our body to overproduce Glutamine for a short period of time, which prevents the much needed deep sleep. The good news is that Japanese Raisin Extract also helps to avoid this side effect of alcohol. So a good dose of that herb has you covered here too.
4. Decrease Inflammation
Generally, we like to stick to using powerful super foods, herbs and nutraceuticals to improve liver function and protect the body. However, alcohol causes a lot of inflammation, like pretty much throughout the whole body. Ever notice how everything just seems to hurt more when you are hungover? Inflammation is our bodies' warning to the brain that something isn't quite right and pain is often the result. Many people turn to OTC pain medications (taken before bed or the next day) to alleviate the inflammation. It's highly effective, however chronic usage can also cause damage to the body. Some of the meds actually put even more stress on the liver, for example acetaminophen. You can avoid all the side effects while getting most of the benefits with natural ingredients to fight free radicals and inflammation. Powerful antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatory herbs like turmeric, boswellia, white willow bark and ginger work like magic.
